Meet Our Founder

Kristi Noory

Lustora Founder, Rock Star, Mineral Mama

Kristi Noory has been in a long-term relationship with rocks, gems, and minerals her whole life. She moved to St. Louis at the age of five, where her family’s landscaped garden was filled with beautiful rocks. Kristi would sit on the front porch hammering these stones, hunting for gems and all things sparkly for hours on end. Later, during school, a weeklong outdoor science project mining for minerals cemented a lifelong passion. Her love of jewelry blossomed through heirloom pieces shared by her grandmother, who passed down stories as Kristi slipped rings and bracelets onto her little hands. Her fondness for glitzy accessories also came in handy dressing up her school uniform—she was even voted “Best Dressed” by her classmates (an amusing accolade given the uniform dress code!).

In the early 2000s, Kristi’s first jewelry company made a big splash. She was invited to create pieces for swag bags at the Emmy Awards and was approached to be a featured brand on QVC. After more than a decade of adorning women with her creations, life took an unexpected turn, and Kristi decided to hang up her tool belt for a while. She explored new paths, grew personally and professionally, and carried the spark of her passion for jewelry through it all.

In her next chapter, Kristi embraced reinvention and expanded her creative expression in bold new directions. She became a signed model, represented by an agency in New York, and has since been published in magazines and featured on runways. She also stepped into the world of film — even playing a villain, a role that allowed her to tap into a fierce, unexpected side of herself. Kristi also became a licensed Realtor, bringing the same sharp eye and attention to detail to every endeavor. Despite life’s twists and turns, her passion for design remained a constant. She kept sketching, sourcing stones, and studying the industry from every angle. With renewed purpose and creative clarity, she launched Lustora—returning to her roots and ready to rock once more, with even more sparkle, soul, and vision.
